What a Day for 3DE Schools at Waltrip High School! The junior class at?Houston ISD's Waltrip High School?officially kicked off?Market Day?across the 3DE campuses! After months of teamwork—overcoming challenges, developing marketing strategies, and refining their operations—students finally had the opportunity to?showcase their businesses and sell their products. A special thank you to the?Reliant Energy and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company teams for coaching the students thorough out the year; our champions Yolanda Guillory, M.A.?and Endira Hawkins;?JA Board Members Elizabeth Killinger and Darren Ercolani,?and the Hola Team (Miguel Gonzalez Borja, Nicole Terrazas, MBA and Joseph Elvir)?for their continued support to the 3DE program. CONGRATULATIONS to our amazing JA Company Program students, who founded their innovative platform Student2Student at the Young Women's College Preparatory Academy in Houston ISD, for winning FIRST PLACE in Enterprise (Business and Marketing Skills) at the recently concluded National Society of Black Engineers 51st Annual Convention Pre-College Initiative Competition - Ten80 STEM Challenge in Chicago!!!! They also won SECOND PLACE for Graphic Design and have been invited to the prestigious Ten80 Nationals in Charlotte. We are indebted to our long standing mentors from SLB for their devotion and unwavering support through many challenges. Showcasing the JA Company Program products and pitching L-I-V-E in front of expert judges is always a challenge our student leaders relish! The energy was off the charts! Through the 3DE Schools model by Junior Achievement, they’re not just learning about problem-solving—they’re putting it into practice, building confidence, and strengthening crucial?skills?along the way.
