Wisdom High School’s 11th graders have a special mission this year with the 3DE model—learning what it takes to turn ideas into valuable businesses. Guided by Airswift coaches, they’re building skills that will stay with them, no matter their path. Watching them collaborate with professionals who bring fresh insights reminds us why this experience is so unique—and why it’s a game-changer for their futures. Thank you to Airswift for being part of the students' journey! Shoutout to the coaches Brittany Gabrysch, Cynthia M., Jason Naile, and Jennifer K., to our champion Amy King and to?JA board member Janette Marx for supporting the 3DE Schools in Houston.?

We are grateful to EY for their continuing support of the JA Company Program! Thank you Sandra Oliver, Amanda Harrelson and Travis Garms for all you do!
We celebrated an incredible day of #EntrepreneurialExcellence during EY Connect Day, further buttressing the long-standing and robust partnership between my Board company EY and the #JACompanyProgram. The EY Houston Headquarters has always felt like home to me, and soaking in the sheer magnitude of #DowntownHouston from the vantage point of the EY Innovation Center still makes me awestruck and proud of our amazing #city. EY Connect Day is also an inspiring celebration of #volunteerism and #communityservice and I am beyond grateful to countless EY Houston leaders who went out of their way to ensure that our emerging #entrepreneurs engage in a deep-dive, foundational skills-building workshop ... the first of its kind under the #JACompanyProgram. The feedback from our teen leaders has been overwhelmingly positive, with ALL attendees requesting the continuation of this workshop series to close the #SkillsGap, build the #WorkforceOfTheFuture and #ShapeTheFutureWithConfidence. I am indebted to Amanda Harrelson for her partnership and friendship. The #architect of this workshop, she leads with empathy and cares passionately about our #mission to empower student communities through #EntrepreneurshipEducation. I am also deeply grateful to my Board member Sandra Oliver and EY Entrepreneur of the Year Program Co-Director Travis Garms for their leadership and unwavering support of the #JACompanyProgram - blessed to be able to collaborate with them closely for the past five years. THANK YOU Maria Alejandra Frezza, Amy Thompson, Sofía John, Andrew Lavinsky, Ayushi Bansal, Nonso Okonji, Andrew Nickerson, Jonas Traph?ner-Liu, P.E., Brock Griffiths, Gabriela Araujo Coronel, Brittany Ladzekpo, CPA, CFE, CAMS, Leticia Vasquez, Joslyn Sutherland, Jessica Coker, Lauren McCoy, Wole F. and Carol Headrick for making our #SkillsBuilding workshop an unforgettable, immersive?experience. Last Thursday, Arion hosted their 2nd Annual BBQ Cookoff & Car Show benefitting Junior Achievement. We enjoyed beautiful weather, delicious food, very creative cook teams, and some cool classic cars right outside of the Arion office building. Huge shoutout to Shalle Hovorka for assembling the incredible team behind this event, and to Michele McNichol for attending on behalf of the JA Board of Directors. Thank you to all the sponsors, donors, competitors, and winners for your generosity and support of JA. And, special thanks to Kendra Scott for partnering with Arion for the #KendraGivesBack event, where every purchase helped support Junior Achievement programs, both in-store and online earlier this month.
