We love it when our staff volunteers for our programs! Brianna Markle, JA's Business Development Manager, recently volunteered in JA BizTown when her son's class from Dover Area Middle School visited. Here is her take on the day. "I had an amazing time volunteering at JA BizTown with my son's class! I was so impressed by how well-prepared and respectful the kids were. My group was in the restaurant, and they really showed their teamwork skills. Plus we didn't burn the popcorn or muffins! My son Wyatt, who was CFO at Labworks, had a hilarious take on the day, he said 'I know I definitely don’t want a desk job when I grow up!' He had a blast, but staring at a screen all day? In the past 57 years, Junior Achievement of South Central PA (JA) has become a cornerstone for financial and business education. Reaching over 100.000 students with the help of 8,000 volunteers in the 2018-19 school year, Junior Achievement addresses critical community needs through experiential, hands-on programs. JA's vision is to empower young people to own their economic success. Through participation in JA programs, students see the relevance of what they are learning in the classroom and its application to the real world, and recognize the value of an education. As a business-based nonprofit organization, JA relies on the involvement of local companies for both volunteer and financial support. Becoming involved in JA is an investment in the future of your community. In a few years, these same students will be employees in your company, residents in your neighborhood, and leaders in your community. Help JA inspire and prepare them now. JA of South Central PA merged with JA of Central PA, now covering 52 school districts and fourteen counties: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Union, and York County. Of the 112 JA offices in the United States, JA of South Central PA ranks in the top 20.

A huge thank you to the Eurofins Foundation for their generous support of our STEM programs in Lancaster County! Their commitment to fostering education and innovation is helping to empower the next generation of scientists, engineers, and problem solvers.
