This Thanksgiving week, we’re taking time to reflect, recharge, and celebrate the season! ?? Junior Achievement will be closed to spend the holiday with loved ones, but before the break, the team enjoyed some togetherness with a delicious lunch from SOUL FISH CAFE LTD, sweet treats from Kaye's Pints & Scoops, and a little relaxation thanks to Massage On The Go . Now and always, we’re so grateful for the opportunity to impact the lives of students in our region through our programs as we work to make #EveryChildWorldReady!

Dr. Barfield is the embodiment of the Junior Achievement mission, empowering young minds as assistant principal of The Robert R. Church Elementary while also inspiring future entrepreneurs through her own business, Applesauce Bartending, Inc. Her work bridges education and entrepreneurship, showing students firsthand the possibilities of pursuing their passions and building their own paths. Just last weekend, our Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships and Government Relations, Phil Dotson, and his family explored Green Leaf Learning Farm at Knowledge Quest. While there, Phil met with friends at Cummings K-8 Optional School while supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs shaping the Farm-to-Table movement. We were so excited to welcome Dr. Jennifer Mandel from The University of Memphis Institute for Agricultural and Conservation Research and Education (ACRE) to JA Memphis last week! ?? Dr. Mandel —famously known around the U of M as Dr. Sunflower— shared all about ACRE’s incredible work in Agri-STEM workforce development and how they’re growing the future of our region. Her incredible insights and energy were truly inspiring as we work to enhance our own ag-related programming and partnerships to showcase careers in agriculture to today’s youth.
