Identity. It’s everything. Lose your passport or your license? You can do very little until you replace it. But what about the identity no one sees? The one you carry in the quiet? The one that doesn’t fit neatly on a business card? For years, I let lies and my mistakes define me. A number in the system. A convict. A failure. That’s who I thought I was. But then I realized—identity isn’t assigned. It’s chosen. I’ve worn labels like: → Thug. → Felon. → Fugitive. Now? → Forgiven. → Redeemed. → Child of God. We all have a choice. You can live by the weight of your past… Or step into the freedom of who you were made to be. At JUMPSTART SC, we remind men and women of this truth daily. Your failures don’t define you. Your freedom does. Those in the picture were once incarcerated. But by choosing a new identity. They are thriving in life. So, here’s the real question for you: What identity are?you?choosing today?
