I am incredibly proud of my client, Vlryn Veal, and the progress he has made so far. When Vaughn first approached me, it was through a referral from Cherrisse Peters Dewar. I told Vaughn from the start: “Certifications alone won’t get you the job you’re aiming for. To truly stand out, you’ll need hands-on experience and real-world projects that complement the roles you’re applying for.” As part of Stage 1 of his Cybersecurity Career Roadmap, Vaughn earned his CompTIA Security+ certification—a significant milestone toward his dream roles. We also had a successful resume and cover letter mentorship session, refining his materials to align with his target roles: Incident Responder Cybersecurity Analyst SOC Analyst Currently, Vaughn is working on an Active Directory Incident Response Simulation, gaining practical experience in cyberattack detection, response, and mitigation. This project directly aligns with his target roles, preparing him to excel in the competitive cybersecurity field. Vaughn’s dedication to this structured roadmap—combining certifications, hands-on projects, and mentorship—is setting him apart.
