??Cinnaire’s Chase Schulte, Dionna Sargent, MPA, Dawn Momot, Joel Amin, Omar Whitfield and Tomyra Raiford recently had the opportunity to experience the EastSide Charter School Chemours Community STEM Hub in Wilmington, DE – a game-changing investment in the future of local students and residents. We are proud to support this project through a $10 million NMTC allocation to help expand access to STEM education, innovation, and career pathways for the next generation. ??The STEM Hub is more than a building – it’s a launchpad for education, careers, and economic opportunity, equipping students, families, and community members with the skills to succeed in a tech-driven world. Investments like these build stronger communities and brighter futures. ????We can’t wait to see the incredible impact this space will have on their scholars, families, and the Wilmington community for years to come! Shout out to Charly Bass for successfully selling a stunning property in Wilmington! This amazing home, originally a 5-bedroom, 1-bath, was transformed into a spacious 4-bedroom, 3.5 bath gem with a balcony. Charly acquired the property through the Jumpstart Wilmington Property Acquisition Pilot Program, in partnership with the City of Wilmington, DE and the Wilmington Neighborhood Conservancy Land Bank. As part of this pilot program, she received a loan from the Jumpstart Wilmington Loan Program from Cinnaire and CDBG funding up to $99,900 from the City of Wilmington's Department of Real Estate and Housing to complete rehabilitation. This property was previously owned by the City of Wilmington and the revitalization aligns with the city's goal to expand housing stock and increase access to affordable housing. Congratulations to the first-time homebuyer who now gets to call this place their own! Thank you to Charly for her commitment to making a positive impact on the community. Affordable housing is vital to building strong, thriving communities. Last week, Cinnaire's Dionna Sargent, MPA joined an influential panel of affordable housing advocates to call for increased funding in the Delaware state budget to support initiatives addressing housing needs. A shout out to Amber Epperson and Amanda Johnson who stopped by our December 2024 Jumpstart Wilmington Alumni Mixer. Amber will be launching Jumpstart Dover (Delaware), and Amanda will be launching Jumpstart Chester (PA) in early 2025. Cordaro 'Core' Rhodes hosted the Jumpstart Wilmington Fall 2024 cohort during the construction site visit. Core graduated the program in October 2020 and acquired his property through the Jumpstart Wilmington Property Acquisition Pilot Program. His property is projected to be completed early 2025. Construction site visits offer program participants currently in session the chance to gain insights into the development process directly from the host developer, all within the context of the site itself.? #JumpstartWilm #WilmDE

The Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) has announced the Downtown Development Districts (DDD) Rebate Program is now open and accepting applications. The program aims to boost private investment, create jobs, and enhance downtown communities across 12 designated districts. Since 2023, the Southbridge Community Services building has been a cornerstone of support for homeless veterans in Wilmington, offering an affordable place to call home alongside vital resources.
