We are often asked: "why focus on using the JA1 Pulse in rural areas when there are more people in cities?" -- the answer is simple, rural areas are where we can make the biggest difference in patient outcomes. This survey of out of hospital cardiac arrests (OHCA) https://lnkd.in/gDcDYJPs suggests that the chance of surviving until hospital discharge is twice as good in cities as it is in rural areas. Why the big difference? There are many factors at play, but perhaps the biggest and most obvious is that it takes a lot longer to get professional help to patients in rural areas -- approximately twice as long on average. This is where Jump Aero's JA1 Pulse can help. By bringing rural emergency response up to par with what exists in cities, we can dramatically improve rural health outcomes.

Today the Jump Aero team rolled out a significant upgrade to our flight software. The acceptance testing process for new software involves testing on the sim, then on the bench, then in flight on a safety tether before flying free. This video shows a short tethered flight of the upgraded state estimator and flight controller. It is flown by our CTO, Brian Lozano. The aircraft is a dynamically scaled model of the full-scale JA1 Pulse. #evtol #aam
