The energy at last week’s Patients as Partners conference was undeniable! More than ever, there’s a growing urgency to not just include patient voices—but to empower them to help shape the future of clinical trials. Our very own Kristin Tolbert sat on a strategic panel that tackled what true patient inclusion in clinical trials looks like—from measuring impact and easing financial burdens to building lasting trust and creating culturally relevant materials. Key takeaways? ?? 85% of patients want clear, accessible info, yet access remains limited. ?? There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to trial participation. ???????? Families, especially siblings, carry unseen burdens that deserve recognition. The team (Jules Rinaldi, Rick Scorzetti, Triparna Ghosh-Choudhury, PhD) left feeling inspired and more motivated than ever to keep driving patient-centered progress in clinical research! #PatientsasPartners2025

70% percent of women report taking prescription medicine during pregnancy, yet only only 10% of FDA approved drugs have sufficient clinical data to determine their safety during pregnancy. Check out Kristin Tolbert’s recent article about the importance of considering pregnant women in clinical trials. #InclusiveClinicalResearch #ClinicalTrials #HealthEquity #PregnantWomen
Recent research is showing medical treatment for #pregnantwomen often relies on #clinicaldata from non-pregnant female patient populations.???Kristin Tolbert, Associate VP of Health Equity Strategy at Jumo Health

Coming off a week at #SCOPE25, we heard overwhelmingly that the work being done to recruit underrepresented patients for clinical trials won't stop despite uncertainty around FDA guidance. Clinical operations teams are continuing to create "robust" enrollment plans as the science requires. This idea is reinforced in this Clinical Trials Arena article that Jumo Health Board of Directors member Jackie Kent contributed to: https://lnkd.in/e9VWgmVW

On Wednesday night we hosted our first Equity in Action dinner to bring together some of the brightest minds focused on patient recruitment as well as the industry’s top health equity leaders from across the clinical trial space. We laughed, enjoyed amazing food, and shared stories of our unique lived experiences. In an effort to build community and start establishing new best practices, we also discussed how we as an industry can keep moving good science forward by continuing to champion inclusive and representative clinical research Thank you to everyone who attended our first event in this dinner series. Your passion and dedication to making clinical trials accessible to all is inspiring and we are grateful to stand beside you in this important work! #EquityInAction #HealthEquity #ClinicalTrials #SCOPE2025 Chris Heimerle, Jackie Kent, Kristin Tolbert, Michael Burton, Danielle Himelright, Allie Mozzone, Mitch Menti, Triparna Ghosh-Choudhury, PhD, Kevin Kelly
