Last week, President/CEO Lannie Davis-Frecker and our partners at Bridgeway Academy, the Rich Center for Autism and Capitol Partners hosted Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman at the Autism & Special Needs Scholarship Advocacy Luncheon. Speaker Huffman heard from three JB families about how these scholarships have made a JB education possible and transformed their lives. Thank you to our families for sharing their stories and to Mrs. Davis-Frecker for her continued advocacy!

Our 3rd graders at JB Lyndhurst had an awesome time meeting local author Dustin Brady, the mastermind behind the Trapped in a Video Game series! Dustin writes books for kids who think they don't like reading, and his stories ignite imaginations and make reading an exciting adventure!

Today is the last day of Black History Month, and our Westlake students wrapped up a month of meaningful learning. The middle schoolers delved into "biography book tastings" and were inspired by Mary Walker, who learned to read at the age of 116. Younger students were captivated by Amanda Gorman's "Change Sings." We're proud of our students for honoring Black history and celebrating the power of education! #BlackHistoryMonth

Our students had an unforgettable sensory-friendly night at the Cleveland Monsters game! They got the VIP treatment with the "Benchwarmers" experience, watching the players warm up from the bench! Plus, they met the mascot, Sully C. Goal, and even saw themselves on the Jumbotron! It was a night of pure joy and excitement. #ClevelandMonsters #SensoryFriendly #JBstudents

This Black History Month, the students at JB Akron explored history through art and storytelling! They interviewed Art Therapist, Jackie Amato, about their class project: creating a quilt inspired by the beautiful and historically significant quilts made by African-American women in Gee's Bend, Alabama.
