Celebrating Dedication - Thank you David! David Bryant, a machinist at JTEKT North America's Walhalla Plant, recently demonstrated remarkable generosity and community support in the wake of Hurricane Helene's devastation. After learning about a Facebook group dedicated to helping victims of the storm in Western North Carolina, David, a pilot and plane owner, took action. He completed two flights, delivering over 600 pounds of essential supplies to the affected areas. David’s love for flying began at the age of 11 when he watched a family friend fly over his property, sparking a lifelong passion. His pursuit of aviation became a reality when, years later, he spoke with an airport employee in Toccoa, Georgia, who encouraged him to not just dream of flying but to learn how. This moment set the course for David to begin flight training after saving enough money, marking the start of a 29-year journey as a pilot. As a 47-year associate at JTEKT, David’s dedication to his work as a machinist and his commitment to helping others highlight his character both as a professional and as a compassionate community member.
