The John S. Mulholland Family Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity, was founded in 2013 to serve the food insecure, working poor of Washington, DC’s most challenged neighborhoods.
The Foundation’s mission is to ensure that food pantries in the poorest sections of the District of Columbia have the necessary means to provide food assistance. The food insecurity and cost of living in Washington is among the highest in the United States.

The Foundation also maintains a one-of-a-kind sustainable farm in Kensington, Maryland and a Central Pantry in Brookland.
The Foundation's Board of Directors is chaired by Brian M. Mulholland and comprises 26 Directors from throughout the community, all of whom serve without compensation. They include S. Patrick Mulholland; Sharon Briskman, CPA; John C. Feller; William D. Mulholland, CPA; Thomas A. Anzelmo, MD: Michael J. Caruso; Bryan Cullen; Patrick Gex; Lisa M.
