????JSM Super Bowl LIX ???? ?????????????? We had the privilege of collaborating on 7 projects for last night’s game, bringing our grand total to 50. Incredible. A combination of music, sound design, supervision, and mix. Mad respect and gratitude to all of our agency and brand partners for your faith and trust in us for a very successful showing last night for the big game. We’re extremely proud that JSM continues to be a valued player and partner in an industry that celebrates creativity, purpose, and originality with relentless passion. Congratulations to all of our colleagues who had work on the game. As you know, It ain't easy to pull off. For those not in the business, it's not just about the ad that you see during the game. First you need to sell the client to spend $8MM for :30 for your idea. Then sell them on spending many, many millions more to create it. Then create and produce all the other deliverables that are now necessary given our expanding media landscape. Teasers, socials, interactive, etc..?All with the hopes of building their brand, viscerally as well as thoughtfully connecting with the consumers and persuading the audience to act in a way that you intended. Bottom line is that we are all very fortunate to do what we do in an industry that creates art for commerce as well as creating art for good and meaningful social change. Sometimes, it's a couple of months before, and other times it could be as little as 10 days before the game. This one was nearly 7 months in advance. The earliest of all for us. When any spot is completely music/song driven, we are the first involved once the concept is sold to the client. Just the way we like it ??. For us to create a New Orleans arrangement of one of the best songs of all time and to work with Shaboozey and his team was just awesome. We've been listening to this countless times a day, developing it for over half a year while watching how all the cuts with our adorable armless Nerds and huge Gummy dude developed, and it never got old. It always made us smile, and still does. Thank you to all at Digitas North America and Ferrara for reaching out to JSM again for the big game. Not just because we did creative Zoom calls with Larry David (picture in comments), but because he is one of our generation’s most brilliant comedians and writers. As we approach?#SuperBowlLIX, we’re posting some of our favorite?spots of our soon to be 47, maybe 48, for the big game from over the years. They all range from comedic to serious to adventurous with completely over the top production value, usually including tons of celebrities and cameo appearances.
