March’s featured Associate of the Month is Jake Webb! Jake has nearly 10 years of experience providing engineering and construction administration services, seeing projects through the design, bidding, and construction phases. Jake is a licensed professional engineer in nine states surrounding the Midwest, providing civil engineering services for national clients. Responsibilities include planning for grading/drainage, public/private utilities, and producing construction documents/specifications as well as preparing plans for stormwater and erosion control management and compiling necessary reports/permit documents. Outside of work, Jacob enjoys spending family time outdoors, visiting parks and zoos with the kids, along with grilling. He and his wife have four children, a Siberian husky named Madison & a golden retriever named Gunner. Great having you on our team Jake! #JSDTellTheStory

Governor Tony Evers joined us at the former Fast Forward Skating Rink site in Madison to celebrate the grand opening of The Derby apartments: https://bit.ly/3FdU2ck. This 70-unit affordable housing development is the first project to complete our Vacancy-to-Vitality Loan Program, made possible through the Governor’s historic $525 million investment in his 2023-25 biennial budget. Lincoln Avenue Communities unified a group of neighborhood proponents, including the Allied Wellness Center, to bring their needs and vision for the district to life. The Derby shows how communities can breathe new life into underutilized spaces and will lead as an example to create more affordable housing throughout the state. We enjoyed the warm weather for the groundbreaking on Greenfield Ave. of the Union Green redevelopment--a mix of rental townhomes, one- and two-bedroom apartments, an indoor/outdoor cafe? and a redesigned public park between S 64th St. and S 65th St. JSD took the lead on surveying, along with a site plan, as well as plans for grading, utilities, and erosion control. Hats off to JJH3group and Galbraith Carnahan Architects for their design work, and West Allis Mayor Dan Devine and others from the city who attended the celebration! #JSDTellTheStory City of West Allis
