Lt. Gen. Omar Jones, Installation Management Command Commanding General, and IMCOM Command Sgt. Maj. Jason Copeland traveled to Fort Johnson Nov. 20 to thank the IMCOM workforce for their service and support, and to recognize their contributions to improve the readiness, resilience, and quality of life for Soldiers and their Families. JRTC and Fort Johnson leadership attended the 25th Annual East Beauregard Veterans Day Ceremony. This event is held annually in Dry Creek, La. to honor Veterans in Southwest Louisiana. In his address, Brig. Gen. Jason Curl, commanding general of JRTC and Fort Johnson said "To all our veterans here today, and to those who are only with us in spirit, we owe you a debt we can never fully repay. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to our Nation."

Happy #NationalAirborneDay! ?? National Airborne Day, Aug. 16, honors the military's airborne divisions of the Armed Forces. Aug. 16, 1940, marks the date of the first official Army parachute jump at Ft. Benning, Georgia. The successful jump validated the innovative concept of inserting U.S. ground combat forces behind a battle line by parachute. These sky soldiers represent some of the most prestigious and expertly trained forces in the United States Army. #AATW

Today, Maj. Gen. David W. Gardner relinquished command of JRTC and Fort Johnson. As he ended his remarks today Maj. Gen. Gardner said, "It has been an honor and a privilege to be Warrior 6". Thank you for your service, for your wisdom, and for always leading by example. As you move forward to new endeavors, know that you carry with you our deepest respect and heartfelt gratitude. Brig.
