Gaslighting about gas? Let’s clear the air—your tanklesswater heater is still perfectly legal! There’s been a lot of confusion lately about new regulations surrounding gas appliances, leading to concerns that tankless water heaters are being banned. The reality? You can absolutely still install a gas tankless water heater. While some policies aim to reduce emissions and encourage electrification, they don’t prohibit existing gas infrastructure or the installation of high-efficiency gas appliances. In fact, tankless water heaters remain a smart, energy-efficient option for many homes and businesses. Understanding these changes can be overwhelming, but staying informed is key. Regulations vary by location, and it’s always best to check local codes to ensure compliance. Misinformation spreads quickly—let’s work together to share accurate information.?

Did you know that your commercial property’s water system is designed to prevent backflow—the unwanted reversal of water that can pull contaminants into your clean water supply? To keep your water safe and comply with local regulations, most businesses are required to have their backflow prevention device tested annually by a certified professional. Regular testing ensures your system is working properly and protects your employees, customers, and community from potential contamination. ? Avoid fines & stay compliant ? Ensure safe, clean water for your business ? Prevent costly plumbing issues down the road Not sure when your last test was? It might be time to schedule one! Stay ahead of the game and keep your business running smoothly.

A big shoutout to Sven Johnson for capturing a great shot of pipes loaded up and headed to Darigold in Pasco—bonus points for the welded, handmade JRT sign in the background! Another standout is Dillard Abbott, who snapped an awesome photo of a JRT employee inside a huge Reser’s duct, giving us a great sense of scale! Thanks to everyone who submitted photos—keep them coming for next month’s contest!

When JRT Mechanical was brought in as a subcontractor for the Pasco Darigold facility, we saw an opportunity to make a real impact. Tasked with both plumbing and mechanical piping, our goal has been to reduce on-site labor hours through in-house fabrication, keeping the project efficient while minimizing risks for everyone involved. By controlling the fabrication process, we’re able to ensure better quality, safer working conditions, and fewer on-site man-hours. Some of the key systems we’re working on include: ?? Steam & condensate piping ?? Hot & cold glycol piping ?? Compressed air piping ?? Simtech polypropylene fusion piping for underground waste Collaborating closely with our CAD design team, we’re helping build a Darigold facility that’s built to last.?
