This is part of JPEO A&A’s efforts to address potential supply chain vulnerabilities and enhance national security by securing uninterrupted access to crucial materials. #USAGPicatinny Arsenal officials hosted a special Veterans Day presentation featuring the SwingTime Dolls. The SwingTime Dolls is an all-female vocal group consisting of three vocalists that shine a new light on the tunes of the American Hit Parade of the 1940s and the 1960s classics of the Vietnam era. Maj. Gen. John T. Reim, Commanding General of Picatinny Arsenal and Joint Program Executive Office Armaments & Ammunition Executive Officer, thanked the women for their performance and presented each with a military challenge coin. "What a way to kick of Veterans Day," Reim said. "I think it is incumbent upon us to reflect on why that is important. That is why we call ourselves the 'Land of the Free,' and the 'Home of the Brave.' It is because of our Veterans. Read more https://spr.ly/6042sxYPq #ArmysHome #PeopleFirst #QoL

Today, Maj. Gen. John T. Reim joined U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell and Bryan Van Brunt, President of Repkon USA, to announce a $435 million contract awarded to Repkon USA. This contract funds the design, construction, and commissioning of a TNT production facility in Graham, Kentucky. “Today marks the beginning of the return of TNT production to American soil—a capability we have not had since 1986,” said Maj. Gen. John T. Reim, Joint Program Executive Officer for Armaments and Ammunition. “This historic initiative underscores our commitment to strengthening national security and reducing reliance on foreign sources for critical materials. Maj. Gen. John T. Reim, Commanding General of Picatinny Arsenal and Joint Program Executive Officer for Armaments and Ammunition, presented the inaugural “Key to the Cannon Gates” honorary award to Command Sgt. Maj. (Retired) Larry Taylor during a retirement luncheon in his honor on Tuesday, October 29. Taylor served as the Supervisory Safety and Occupational Health Manager with DEVCOM’s Weapons and Software Engineering Center, where he significantly advanced safety and occupational health standards for over 3,000 employees across hundreds of facilities at Picatinny Arsenal. The “Key to the Cannon Gates” Honorary Award, established by Maj. Gen. Reim, is inspired by the iconic Cannon Gates that once served as the historic entry point to Picatinny Arsenal. Dating back to the 1880s, the gates symbolize the rich history, dedication, and tradition of service at Picatinny. The award embodies the values of service, innovation, and collaboration that are central to the Arsenal’s mission and legacy. Congratulations on your retirement Command Sgt. Maj. Taylor!
