🎉 Join us in congratulating JP Architects’ very own, Ricardo Chaidez, on becoming a licensed architect! 🎉 Ricardo Chaidez joined JP Architects, Ltd. in 2020 during the pandemic. Initially meeting the team virtually, it wasn’t until we returned to the office that we fully experienced his dedication, expertise, and impact. He began his journey with us working on residential projects and has since grown into an invaluable team member—managing public work, mentoring new employees, and helping shape the future of our firm. 😂 Funny story... Ricardo kept his pursuit of licensure under wraps, and it wasn’t until a random Friday night JP Team text alert with Ricardo announcing he had officially become a licensed architect that we found out. Safe to say..the group chat popped off. 🌟 From a Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA) Scholarship Recipient to now a Licensed Architect at JP Architects, Ltd., Ricardo has continually impressed us with his hard work and commitment. Over the past couple weeks, JP Architects, Ltd. had the opportunity to attend the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Kick-Off Event and the Black Contractors Owners and Executives (BCOE) Inaugural Black Tie Gala and Scholarship Drive 🏆🎓. These were incredible events, and we were proud to be part of the experience. More importantly, these gatherings reinforced our core beliefs about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). The reality is clear—programs and initiatives designed to support and grow M/W/V/PBE companies are facing increasing challenges. But this isn’t just about individual communities; when access and opportunity are threatened, our entire industry suffers. Now, more than ever, we must stand together, collaborate, and advocate for equity. Our Marketing Director Nick Gulino was installed as the Oak Lawn Chamber President this past Friday. 👏 🙌 JP Architects, Ltd. and the Chamber have a long history...dating back to 2015 as the organization was the first call President Jose Pareja made when he incorporated our firm. Jose eventually found himself on the board, and Nick replaced Jose in 2020, working his way up the ranks to President of the Oak Lawn Chamber. One of our company values is 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬, and we make it a point to be involved in the communities where we live, work, learn, and play. We're thrilled to have this level of engagement in the Oak Lawn business and local community. 📢 A New Years message from JP Architects' Principal Jose Pareja 🎆 As this year comes to a close, I think back on all the accomplishments JP Architects, Ltd. achieved this year. There's none more impactful than the design and construction of Community High School District 218's Eisenhower High School Fieldhouse and District Theater Renovations. I wonder if my dad crossing the border through San Diego with his brothers dreamt this was possible. Or a year later my mom - coming over from Ecuador with my sisters and me - believed this was possible. I know my fifteen-year-old self, making the decision I wanted to graduate high school, did not dream big enough or my second-grade self, knowing I would do something great someday, did not believe this was possible. Mi Gente, this is what we are capable of. This achievement is not just a project; it’s proof of the potential we all hold. While it takes many teams and companies to bring something of this magnitude to life, a Hispanic-owned architecture firm led this project—not as a subcontractor or design architect, but as the prime architect of record. This is a testament to what hard work, resilience, and community can achieve. Let’s dream even bigger in 2025.
