  • ??How do online biographies influence patients’ confidence in their healthcare choices??? A new study in the Journal of Patient Experience shows that simply adding physical therapist biographies to a clinic’s website can significantly impact how patients choose their care providers. After the bios went live, patients felt more confident, found the site more helpful, and were more likely to make an intentional therapist selection. This highlights how healthcare websites can become powerful tools for patient empowerment. ?? Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/ecdwhAqb ?? Reference: Perrault EK, Stein J. • ??How Can Veteran-Led Healthcare Solutions Improve Treatment Outcomes??? For many Veterans, chronic headaches are more than just a medical issue, they're a barrier to daily life, work, and well-being. A new study in the Journal of Patient Experience highlights four critical takeaways that could revolutionize care: ? Patient engagement leads to better care: Direct feedback from Veterans is essential for shaping effective headache treatment programs. ? Holistic treatments matter: Many Veterans prefer non-pharmacologic therapies like biofeedback, yoga, and acupuncture over traditional medications. ? Care coordination needs improvement: Veterans often face fragmented healthcare experiences, requiring better communication between providers. ? Gender-specific challenges exist: Women report provider bias in pain treatment, while men cite military culture as a barrier to seeking care. This research underscores the need for a more integrated, patient-centered approach to Veteran healthcare. How can we apply these lessons beyond headache care? ??
