Coming up on February 9th, Queens For the Castle invites you to be our guest as we celebrate of the art of drag while raising funds for OUR queen, the Joslyn Castle! In addition to performances by some of Omaha’s most celebrated drag artists, guests will enjoy an art installation from LALA Local Artists Local Art, featuring the Joslyns living spaces transformed into galleries. These galleries will showcase some of Omaha's finest local creators, and the art will be available for purchase! Our friends at Saddle Creek Breakfast Club will be providing an elevated brunch menu. The Castle will be filled with music, art, and food – what more could we ask for as we continue our mission to preserve and share our historic treasure? As the #Omaha Castle and Cathedral District's Artist in Residence, Watie's culminating show “One Degree of Separation” is a must-see, open through early January. Business Owners and Executives: I serve on the Board of Directors for Joslyn Castle & Gardens. The Castle hosts many fun and unique events throughout the year - all of which raise funds to support the Castle. Their events are underwritten by sponsors, which is a great way to gain recognition for your company while supporting a historic Omaha landmark. The Castle ended 2024 with a bang at their Bridgerton-style, New Year's Eve masquerade ball. And they are kicking off their 2025 event calendar with their annual “Queens for the Castle” drag brunch and local art show event on February 9th. Brunch will be provided by Saddle Creek Breakfast Club and brunch cocktails will be flowing. The Castle will be filled with food, art and music. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $1,000, that includes recognition of your business on event signage. We are searching for a hospitality enthusiast that loves working at a beautiful historical estate listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This position is responsible for : Promoting and booking all rentals including weddings and special events. In charge of the master calendar Schedule and Manage all rentals. Manage rental and event budgets to ensure financial responsibility and profitability. Coordinate with other team members for scheduling and maximizing utilization of space. Develop plans and implement strategies to attract customers. Set the standard for guest hospitality. Facilitate and insure seamless communication between and with all departments Supervise staff responsible for public and private tours.
