A quick and satisfying project from the other week. Weldments like these are used to keep everything together while the copper coils for our transformers are going through the winding process. These coils can take several months to finish, and the amount of time and work the winding department puts into each individual coil is staggering. These plates were fabricated for some particularly heavy duty coils going into one of the larger units in the shop.
