Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum Named One of Top 10 Music Museums in the United States by USA Today 10Best 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards ? USA Today announced the Top 10 Music Museums across the United States, according to their 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum is proud to be among these great Top 10 music museums. The Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum, located at FedExForum, the city’s premier sports and entertainment complex in downtown Memphis, joined other top 10 winners, including the Johnny Cash Museum, the Patsy Cline Museum and the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, the Museum at Bethel Woods in Bethel, NY, the Motown Museum in Detroit, the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Bristol, Virginia, and the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Rock ‘n’ Soul was the only Memphis museum to be named to the prestigious list this year. USA Today stated, “The United States has been the birthplace of numerous musical genres, and some of the world’s most famous singers, songwriters, and performing artists have gotten their starts here. These 10 museums — selected by an expert panel and voted by readers as the best in the U.S. — celebrate American musical history with a big-picture approach or through the lens of a specific artist or genre.” More information is available here: https://lnkd.in/eSVtsDPT The original exhibit of the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum was researched and developed by the world-famous Smithsonian Institution, unlike any other museum on the planet. This year Rock ‘n’ Soul celebrates its 25th anniversary, having opened in April, 2000. “It is great to be honored among the top 10 in the nation,” said John Doyle, Rock ‘n’ Soul Executive Director. “Memphis offers a musical pilgrimage unlike any other city on the planet, truly honoring a diverse catalog of musical genre and iconic legends who place our hometown on the world map, and created the music that shook the planet.” ?
