The vast majority of teens in foster care are moved into transitional housing where they lack stability and support services. We became foster parents some years ago and that’s what inspired Jonathan’s Path. We support teens and young adults from 13 to 25 by providing placement and support from trauma-informed staff and amazing partners that we call our Friends of Jonathan’s Path. Currently, we want to accomplish our mission of establishing our own foster home, the first one, so we can offer long-term placement and you could help us fulfill this dream before 2025! In Tennessee, nearly 9,000 youths are in foster care, yet there are homes for just over half of them. Within the first year, 30% of these youths face the upheaval of moving through three or more placements. This instability can have lasting negative effects, such as delayed permanency outcomes, academic struggles, and challenges in forming meaningful attachments. Jonathan’s Path steps in to transform this narrative for Middle Tennessee teens by providing a stable home, unwavering support, guidance, and love.
