?? Huge Congratulations to our Co-founder, Zeke Alicea, on completing the Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim Challenge! ?? This past Saturday, Zeke and his longtime friend, Jeff Hirvela, embarked on an ultra-marathon journey through the Grand Canyon! Their goal was not only to conquer this incredible feat of mental and physical endurance, but most importantly, to raise awareness and support for Elevate USA a cause that resonates deeply with Leyla’s mission to make a positive impact within our greater community. The guys began their trek at 5am - in the early morning darkness - with temperatures around 19 degrees. The R2R2R journey is as wild and awe-inspiring as it sounds: they descended the south rim of the canyon, ran across, climbed up the north rim, then turned around to finish back where they started. After nearly 18 hours (17:46 to be exact!), both Zeke and Jeff crossed the finish with gratitude, humility, and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. This journey was inspiring not only for Zeke and Jeff but also for everyone cheering them on, and we hope it brings greater awareness and support to Elevate USA. Elevate USA is dedicated to suicide prevention, community engagement, conflict resolution, and academic improvement for young people across the country.
