Our practice was grounded in Friedrich Nietzsche's words 'he who has a why to live can bear almost any how'. As entrepreneurs it's easy to forget the 'why' behind what we're building when most days feel like survival mode. We took this moment to reconnect with our bodies and come back to our purpose. Grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with this force of women Oriana Fuentes, Lissy Alden, Alyssa Petersel, LMSW, and Allison Yamamoto. >> SH x Breaking Barriers of VC hosted a wellness morning where Laurent Span, Kristine Lis Kring Simonsen, and I shared our journeys coming out of corporate and explored the latest innovations in the women’s health and longevity space (e.g. a new biometric tracking earring by Incora Health). >> Guided breath work into mindful dating with Anise Health, Coffee Meets Bagel, and Love, Bonito. Thank you Israa Nasir for highlighting the importance of understanding your values and presenting yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally in the dating world as an AAPI woman. >> Had a blast hosting founders yoga + pickleball with Louis Long, co-founder of sports meetup and Techstars Sports portfolio company Conquer App. With the rise of run/fitness clubs and recreational sports, social connection in the wellness space is growing faster than ever. >> A bi-coastal collaboration with LA-based team Bloomy, a wellness platform/marketplace, to close out the rooftop yoga + ice bath season at the Ice Cold Club in Brooklyn. I also had the opportunity to: >> Attend Jack Taylor’s fall wellness showcase and see the growth of emerging wellness brands. I'm especially excited about ones I'm personally supporting (Smearcase - Protein-packed Frozen Cottage Cheese). >> Lead yoga at Healthcare Homies x Thoropass’s founders event at the beautiful Apollo 360 Health in Flatiron. >> Stop by Boston Consulting Group (BCG)'s annual NYC alumni dinner to reconnect with friends. A year out and I’m still beyond grateful for the experiences and people that BCG has brought into my life.
