The latest Yale Program on Climate Change Communication Climate Opinion Maps (YCOM) are here, reflecting public sentiment on climate change and clean energy through December 2024. This year’s update introduces a new measure: support for transitioning the U.S. economy to 100% clean energy by 2050—with 66% of Americans in favor. Key Takeaways: ? 47 states have majority support for a 100% clean energy transition. ? Urban areas show stronger support than rural regions. ? All 50 states agree that global warming is impacting U.S. weather. Support for clean energy is strong nationwide, with Texas at 64%, and the District of Columbia leading at 87%.
