We were delighted to be able to recognize Dr. Erin Michos, MD, MHS for her receipt of the 2024 Donna Vogel Women's Health Champion Award at our Women's Health, Sex, & Gender Differences Research Early Career Mentoring and Networking Luncheon on Wednesday, January 25th!! We originally announced Dr. Michos as our 2024 Women's Health Champion at our Annual Symposium last May, but were thrilled to be able to present Erin with her award this month, as she was unable to attend the Symposium last year due to her being in demand to speak elsewhere as the Women's Health Leader that she is!! Congratulations to Sabra Klein and Wendy Bennett for receiving awards from The Foundation For Gender-Specific Medicine recognizing their contributions to mentoring junior investigators. This public-private partnership has financially supported the research of junior faculty, most recently Liisa Hantsoo at Johns Hopkins Medicine, investigating sex and gender differences in health and disease.

Congratulations to our co-director on this distinction.
I am honored to be one of 52 The Johns Hopkins University professors named to the list of the world's most cited researchers. This is my third year on this list and for me highlights that sex differences and women's health research is gaining traction. I am proud to co-direct the Johns Hopkins Center for Women's Health, Sex, and Gender Research, which also works on these issues and supports junior investigators new to this field of study.
