JTC is providing envelope and air barrier code compliance services for Great Falls Construction at the Portland Sea Dogs Clubhouse project in Portland, ME. Our scope includes reviewing construction drawings, conducting site visits to assess envelope components and assemblies for compliance with the requirements of the Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code (MUBEC) and the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), and performing blower door testing (ASTM E779 and IECC 2021 C402.5.3). Maine is updating MUBEC to align with the 2015 IECC, requiring both visual inspections and blower door testing for all new construction and additions in municipalities with populations over 4,000.
