Yesterday morning, Ohio Department of Transportation called us for urgent assistance after a landslide on I-275. Within hours, our team was on site. Crews are working around the clock to install an extra lane and hope to have the traffic flow restored soon. Our JRJ Project Managers, Mike and Zac, recently had the honor of coaching the University of Cincinnati team to a first-place win in the Ohio Contractors Association Estimating Competition!?? Out of all participants, they were 1 of only 2 teams to submit a fully responsive bid, which is a big achievement in itself. During the presentation phase, the team showcased their professionalism, making a strong impression throughout the competition. Three team members are former JRJ co-ops, and each played a key role in the team's success. We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication!

Spanning the last two days, our first-ever Construction Boot Camp welcomed local high school students for a hands-on experience in the construction industry! Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting Heavy Equipment students from Warren County Career Center and Laurel Oaks Career Campus! These students got a hands-on look at the world of construction, starting with career opportunities presented by our recruiter, Bry. They then explored estimating and project management, visited our asphalt plant and Quality Control lab, and wrapped up the day with a tour of the Equipment Operations shop. Yesterday, our team participated in our J Do Days volunteer event with A Child's Hope Int'l to honor our team member Rick, who recently retired after 45 years of service. Here’s what we accomplished: ?? Over 40 volunteers took part in the event. ?? Packed 40 boxes of meals, which is 8,640 meals that will be distributed both locally and globally! ?? 200 Hope Packs were assembled for local students in need. This was a meaningful way to celebrate Rick’s retirement and show our ongoing commitment to giving back. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
