Last month, Dr. Christian Happi, director of the African Center of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Disease-ACEGID and professor of molecular biology and genomics at Redeemer's University Nigeria, gave a lecture during the biweekly National Institutes of Health (NIH) WALS Lecture Series titled "Genomic Surveillance and Characterization of Microbial Threats Facilitates Early Detection and Containment of Disease Outbreaks in West Africa".
