?? Some days are for conquering your to-do list, and others are for giving yourself permission to rest. Both are valid and necessary. Self-care isn’t about doing it all—it’s about honoring what you need in each moment. Whether you’re climbing mountains or simply moving from your bed to the couch today, show yourself the same love and compassion. #SelfLoveSunday #SelfCareSunday #SelfCareIsHealthCare #MentalHealthMatters #RestIsProductive

Sometimes, we forget the things that *are* in our control—like choice, agency, and self-advocacy. You can’t always control how others treat you, but you can decide what you will accept and how you respond. You deserve respect, kindness, and support—and it's okay to set boundaries that reflect that. #MentalHealthAwareness #EmotionalIntelligence #WorkplaceWellbeing #HealthyBoundaries #PersonalGrowth #ProfessionalWellbeing

?? This morning, the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners proclaimed March as Social Work Month! We were proud to stand alongside social workers from Mental Health, Aging and Human Services, and the Department of Health and Environment as the proclamation was read. ?? Social workers provide warmth and guidance as clients navigate the fear and distress of being “not okay” and help them imagine their road to recovery and a life worth living. As one of our team members, Talita Leikam, LSCSW, shared during the meeting: ?? “To me, social work is seeing a client smile and say that they feel better after pouring out their pain in my office.” ?? “Nothing tells my clients and our county that we each have value and significance more than investing our collective resources into serving its most vulnerable members.” Please join us in celebrating and thanking social workers this month—and every month—for the lifesaving work they do every day. #SocialWorkMonth?#SWMonth2025?#CompassionPlusAction Pictured left to right: Jen Clarke (Mental Health – AOAS), Shelby Alvarez (Mental Health – Adult Services), Leah Schroer (Aging and Human Services), Joanne Haworth (Aging and Human Services), Sara Torres (Department of Health and Environment), Talita Leikam (Mental Health – Adult Services), Commissioner Fast, Briana Williams, LMSW (Mental Health – AOAS), Tim DeWeese (Mental Health), Commissioner Janee' M. ?? Our inner dialogue matters. When your thoughts feel heavy, try offering yourself a gentler perspective. Reframing doesn’t mean ignoring how you feel—it means showing yourself compassion in the middle of it. You’re allowed to take small steps, rest when you’re drained, and ask for support when you need it. ? Save this as a gentle reminder: you’re not alone. #MentalHealthAwareness #WorkplaceWellbeing #EmotionalIntelligence #LeadershipWithCompassion #EndTheStigma
