关于我们
Joby is a California-based company building quiet, all-electric aircraft to connect people like never before. Quiet as a conversation and with the ability to take off and land vertically, the Joby aircraft will change the way we move while reducing the acoustic and climate footprint of flight.

Our first international flight in front of Mount Fuji marked Joby's deepening relationship with Toyota Motor Corporation as we work ever closer on scaling up production of our electric air taxi. We're grateful to the entire Toyota team for welcoming us in Shizuoka and helping make our historic first international flight a resounding success.

A few highlights from our Q3 2024 results: Toyota investment and partnership: Building on nearly seven years of collaboration, Toyota committed to investing an additional $500 million in Joby, as part of an agreement that includes plans to establish a manufacturing alliance. See shareholder letter for closing conditions. First international demonstration: We completed a number of exhibition flights at Toyota’s Higashi-Fuji Technical Center in Japan, using our third production prototype aircraft which rolled off the production line less than three months prior. Test and Certification: We made more Stage 4 FAA progress than during any prior quarter. We reached a major landmark on our journey to type certification with the completion of our first FAA-conforming major sub-assembly, an aircraft tail. Our fourth production prototype is nearing completion and will join our flight test program shortly. Regulatory progress: In the U.S., we welcomed the publication of new operating regulations that lay the groundwork for the launch of commercial operations. We made important progress with regulators in each of our targeted launch markets. Community engagement: We hosted a number of events in early launch markets, from LA to NYC, experiencing great enthusiasm as we engaged with key stakeholders as well as more than 75,000 community members. Fortress balance sheet: At the end of the third quarter of 2024, we maintained a strong balance sheet with $710 million in cash and short-term investments. This balance does not include the approximately $222 million raised through a follow-on equity offering completed in October 2024 or the expected Toyota investments totaling $500 million. Our full Q3 2024 shareholder letter is available on our website: https://lnkd.in/evCxeVYX Joby management will host a live audio webcast of its conference call to discuss the results at 2:00 p.m. PT (5:00 p.m. ET) today, accessible from our investor website: https://lnkd.in/g67nTPp2

?? ??? With Mount Fuji as our backdrop, we completed our first ever international flight earlier this week, celebrating nearly seven years of collaboration between Toyota Motor Corporation and Joby. Taking off from the Toyota Technical Center in Higashi-Fuji, we were able to demonstrate the low acoustic footprint of our aircraft and welcome guests including Akio Toyoda, Chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, Ted Ogawa, CEO of Toyota North America, and Hiroki Nakajima, CTO. We’re incredibly grateful to be working side-by-side with the world’s largest automaker as we realize our shared vision for the future of mobility and look forward to taking the next step on our journey together.

We had a great time at Compton Air?Fair?this past weekend in Los Angeles, where we brought our?flight?sim?trailer to share the Joby aircraft with the community. Earlier this year, we partnered with the Fly Compton Foundation to bring a virtual reality simulator to the Compton Airport for a month, and we recently began offering Private Pilot Ground School to Compton students.

We had the great privilege of welcoming Neil DeGrasse Tyson aboard the Joby aircraft during National Business Aviation Association's annual conference last week! As well as exploring the aircraft, he took the stage with Bonny Simi, our President of Operations, to discuss the future of flight and inspiring innovation at all ages.
