As the year unfolds with its numerous demands, we sometimes forget to offer thanks. This season, Jobs for Life is committed to recognizing the tireless efforts of our volunteers, donors, and community partners who have invested their time, skills, and resources in our organization. We are truly thankful for your commitment.

?? We’re excited to announce the launch of our very first Jobs for Life class at Spirit Filled Ministries, in partnership with Georgia Center for Opportunity's BETTER WORK Columbus initiative! We’re proud to have 14 participants who have committed to this 10-week journey of personal and professional development. Through this program, they will be gaining essential workforce skills, building valuable connections, and positioning themselves for long-term success in their careers. ?? This partnership exemplifies our shared commitment to empowering individuals and strengthening the workforce in Columbus. We're looking forward to the positive impact this program will have—not only on the participants but also on the broader business community. By equipping people with the tools they need to thrive, we’re building a stronger, more resilient community. Thank you to everyone involved in making this possible. How time flies, especially when you are diligently working! The fall season is upon us, and changes are happening all around. How are you experiencing change in your personal life, work life, or faith life? Change in any environment can be stressful, but as John P. J. Kotter states in *Leading Change*, "We see, we feel, we change." Change is simply part of living, even when we may be resistant to it. After living in Egypt for 400 years, the Israelites cried out for change, yet when the opportunity finally came, they rebelled against the discomfort of it. Perhaps this is a season of change for you and your organization. I encourage you to embrace it with courage, as stated in Joshua 1:9.

Volunteering can be incredibly rewarding and a great way to build strong connections within your community. Here are some ways you might get involved with JOBS for LIFE: 1. Become a Champion: Offer your time as a mentor to individuals going through the program, providing guidance and support. 2. Facilitate a Class: Help organize or facilitate a JfL course to help others find their identity in Christ, through the dignity of work. 3. Become a JfL Ambassador: Assist in fundraising efforts to support community programs. This can include planning events or seeking donations. 4. Become a Strategic Partner: Businesses can encourage employees to invest in their community through volunteerism or match gift donations.
