    Today’s Tip ... Revamp Your Network This Holiday Season The holidays are a perfect time to reconnect with old colleagues, strengthen existing relationships, and release the ones that no longer serve you. Use these three steps to cultivate a network that sets the stage for a successful new year. Review your network. List your contacts from LinkedIn, social media, and your phone. Sort them into three categories: Active, Infrequent, and Lost. Highlight relationships you want to nurture, and consider stepping back from those that no longer feel mutual or meaningful. Prioritizing who truly adds value to your personal and professional life will help you focus your energy where it counts. Reignite old connections. Opt for a simple, thoughtful message, referencing a shared experience or mutual connection to make it personal. For example, “I saw your post about your new business—congrats! Let’s catch up soon.” Taking this first step can feel intimidating, but most people appreciate the effort (and may have even been meaning to reconnect, too). Nurture for the long term. Reconnecting is only the first step. Consistent follow-ups—like quarterly lunches, occasional emails, or even a quick note on a special occasion—turn one-off conversations into lasting relationships. Trust grows with time, effort, and genuine care, forming bonds that can provide unexpected opportunities and support over time. hbr

    Today’s Tip ... Lead with Dignity Undervaluing employees or treating them as replaceable—for example, by overworking them or disrespecting them due to their status and position in the company—violates their intrinsic human value. This leads to disengagement and broken trust. You can avoid these consequences by leading with dignity: recognizing and honoring the humanity of every team member to create an environment where people feel valued and thrive. Here’s how to get started. Build “dignity literacy.” Learn to distinguish dignity from respect. Dignity is unconditional and inherent, while respect is earned. Recognizing everyone’s right to dignity builds a stronger foundation for leadership. Recognize inherent value. Shift your focus from what employees produce to who they are. Affirm their humanity through fair pay, inclusion, and meaningful acknowledgment. Address dignity violations. When the organization harms someone’s dignity, take responsibility. Acknowledge the harm, offer genuine apologies, and rebuild trust with accountability. Embed dignity in processes. Incorporate dignity into systems—for example, by delegating decision-making power to those closest to the problem, not those highest in the hierarchy, or by allowing employees to vote on key issues.     Biden Administration Proposes Medicare, Medicaid Coverage For Obesity Drugs The?New York Times?(11/26,?Sanger-Katz) reports the Biden Administration has proposed “that Medicare and Medicaid cover obesity medications, a costly and probably popular move that the Trump administration would need to endorse to become official.” The new proposal “sidesteps” an older restriction, “specifying that the drugs would be covered to treat the disease of obesity and prevent its related conditions.” Furthermore, “the classification would also mean that every state Medicaid program would be required to cover the drugs starting in 2026.” https://lnkd.in/d63-38Ui
