I had a zoom with Kathleen Brady and Dr. Sophine Charles of Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies (COFCCA). I felt like I had taken a trip to the amusement park and was stuck on a ride. They both have impeccable GASLIGHTING skills. It’s a talent that many avoiders of TRUTH become masters at. Systems will change when people change. Right now I’m weeding through the people to see who’s on board to actually do what’s right by children and their families. I know two people who have a question mark next to their name. I try not to count people out but I lend very little hope to those two. I’m just out here doing my best to Just Make Change for Families and I know that comes with truth and honesty NOT gaslighting. DEFINITION FOR POLITICIAN A person who is active in party politics. a seeker or holder of public office, who is more concerned about winning favor or retaining power than about maintaining principles. Communities elect Representatives to decide on its behalf the policies and actions to be pursued by a Government and are “CHARGED” with acting in the best interests of his and her constituents. In doing so representatives are accountable to their constituents for, their actions. We elect them to serve and be representives of and for our communities. But what I experience is them quickly becoming and referring to themselves as politicians. They are putting their politics over the people who elected them, rely on them, and who trusted their commitment to service, before electing to put them into service. I’m so disappointed at who/what they actually are, their blatant lack of care and concern especially for Black and brown communities. It’s as if being elected creates a full blown disease call “MAJOR EGO” and everything they said during their process to being elected is put aside to make room for the evil, disingenuous, often disturbing and disgusting decisions they make that actually harms the communities that most need them to do what’s right. The EGO’s of Albany is so HUGE that the Senate Majority Leader does not even believe she has a responsibility to protect the constitutional rights of Black, brown and disenfranchised communities. I’m not sure what she thinks she was elected for. But I dislike her politics and hope to see her wake up and understand not just the POWER she has but the RESPONSIBILITIES that come with that power!! We are being asked to negotiate the our constitutional rights. The constitution is not negotiable-I don’t understand- I just don’t!! Andrea Stewart-Cousins

Today the Administration for Children Services posted a happy Mother’s Day message. Their post is triggering to say the least. It feels WEIRD that the same agency that ripped my child from my arms, and placed them with a stranger would be saying Happy Mother’s Day. As a parent who has been impacted by the family policing system, their post does not feel genuine. It actually feels condescending and disrespectful. #FUCKthem - they are not helping to do anything other than destroy families.

Of course it’s postponed - she is trying to wait out the back lash of her racist comment. The postponement says it all. Instead of postponing she should openly apologize but she won’t apologize for something she believes and meant to say. She should be giving enough money to ensure every Black child in the Bronx has a working computer with internet service. Invest in Black communities and not the adoption of our children

Miranda for Families was pulled by leadership once again. Why? I don’t know. Leadership has been dishonest, less than transparent and unsupportive to the residents/voters of the 56,000 homes entered by the administration for children without court orders despite the constitution. She is single handetily obstructing justice.
