We’re excited to celebrate JLH Fund Grantee, Tige Charity, for delivering an inspiring TEDx Inglewood talk on "Revolutionizing Foster Care Through Storytelling and Social Ventures!" As the founder of Kids in the Spotlight, Inc., Tige has been dedicated to empowering youth in foster care by giving them a voice through filmmaking. Her talk sheds light on how storytelling can spark transformation and provide foster youth with a sense of agency and purpose. Earlier this month, #JLHFundGrantee Dr. Artika Tyner served as the closing speaker at the Minnesota Twins 13th Annual Diversity Celebration and was recognized as the inaugural Twins Community Legacy Award honoree for her service to the community. Your favorite NBA champions are putting their passion for empowerment into action. The JLH Social Impact Fund has partnered with Jaylen Brown’s new foundation, the Boston XChange, to bridge the racial wealth gap in Boston with their new collaborative initiative, the Boston Creator Incubator + Accelerator. This program will support creators from underrepresented communities throughout Boston by providing a holistic offering of funding and support to help creators thrive in their respective fields. We are looking for passionate entrepreneurs from the Greater Boston Area who lead for-profit businesses and have a positive impact on underinvested communities. Ideal candidates are visionary creators in fields such as film, culinary arts, product or fashion design, or visual arts. From authentic storytelling through video and music to the rich expression found in culinary arts and dance, creators not only inspire and transform society but also drive economic growth as vital contributors to the economy.
