Can you spot a Presidential Library from 20,000 feet? It was -36 degrees on the construction site for Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, North Dakota, a few weeks back. A unique aspect of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library is the location’s continental climate – design must consider both the coldest of winter nights and the warmest of summer afternoons, doing the best it can to support both. “I cannot imagine how this building and site could ever be experienced the same twice; with all the thermal dynamics of a year in North Dakota, the surprise and vibrance within the badlands’ sun from its rising to its setting, within a context that is constantly eroding and has been for hundreds of thousands of years.” – Jennifer Burke Jackson, JLG Architects Community Practice Studio Leader ??: Nick Lippert of JLG Architects JLG Architects - Architect of Record Sn?hetta - Design Architecture & Design Landscape Architect Confluence - Landscape Architecture – Landscape Architect of Record JE Dunn Construction - Construction Manager You can learn more about this exciting project here: https://lnkd.in/g3AbFAkC
