  • Next set of CNC-machined panels delivered today ready to become the next five (5) Flange Assembly Demonstration Unit (FADU) cases. More than 15 years on, and FADU are still being delivered to customers worldwide and continue to set the standard for effective instruction of bolted flange joint assembly for industrial pressure-boundary piping systems. #JJENCO #FADU

A great reminder for all of us business owners! Taking a few moments to send a note to let a customer know that they are valued, no matter how large or small their account, is not a current expense but an investment in the future. Congratulations Texas Flange for showing us how it's done! #Values #TexasFlange

JJENCO is pleased to announce that Albemarle Corporation's Rockwood Lithium Taiwan Co., Ltd, has ordered a Flange Assembly Demonstration Unit (FADU?) to augment it's Bolted Flange Joint Assembly training program at their Taiwan plant site. This order marks the 7th FADU that Albemarle companies have added to their fleet of global training operations. We are grateful for the recognized value that our BFJA training technology continues to bring to our customers and look forward to continuing to serve Albemarle in all their fluid sealing program requirements. Since 2008, JJENCO Flange Assembly Demonstration Units have become the premier global training platform for effective instruction of bolted flange joint assembly for industrial pressure-boundary piping systems. FADU are the selected training platforms used by major gasket vendors, large industrial plant operators, labor unions, and trade schools worldwide, serving the Refining, Chemical, Power Generation and similar heavy industries. #JJENCO #FADU #boltedjoints #gaskets

We are pleased to announce that Chemours Chamber Works, Deepwater, NJ has engaged JJENCO to provide two training courses later this month to support their in-house Bolted Flange Joint Assembly Training program. In addition to providing our FADU? Instructor Orientation Course (aka Train-the-Trainer or T3) on Day One, JJENCO will also present our 8-hr Journeyman Level training course for selected technical staff on Day Two. Both courses will use Chemours Flange Assembly Demonstration Unit (FADU) to conduct the training.

RANT #1 for 2025 Corporate Governance and the Procurement Process A prime example of bad corporate governance are the excesses that have been inflicted upon the simple procurement process for goods and services. JJENCO is a small company; a microcompany actually. It originated simply as a vehicle for myself to "do whatever I want" after retiring from my last 'real job' nearly 25 years ago. In this time, I have seen the procurement processes change significantly, becoming increasingly complex and convoluted. As an example, since 2008 JJENCO has been manufacturing and selling a niche product to industry. In that time, we have probably lost several million dollars in sales because the buyer's procurement processes were such that - as a small company - we simply could not agree to their terms and conditions. Some companies have made it too difficult for small companies to do business with them. The following current example highlights this problem. We received a preliminary email this week from a prospective company that has made the decision to purchase one of our pieces of training equipment. Pricing has already been agreed upon and approved. Before issuing their purchase order, they provided an 11-page Due Diligence Questionnaire for us to complete mainly in essay form. They were also kind enough to furnish their own 18-page Contract Terms & Conditions, replacing JJENCO's own 2-page version submitted with our price quotation. Finally, in addition to a bulleted list of specific items requested in the body of their email, they also provided a link to their detailed online Supplier Diversity questionnaire for us to complete. Now, passing on the fact that their T&Cs were wholly unacceptable and would require outside legal counsel to fully understand, what on God's green earth could lead them to believe that any small company would be interested in expending this level of effort to accomplish a one-off sale for a single piece of equipment?? Not only is it a waste of our time, but it is a waste of that company's time to review and process all the requested information. Now, since they are a large company, imagine the level of administrative overhead they have to apply given the thousands of contracts they undertake each year. The takeaway is this: Managements need to do a much better job of managing their procurement process. Determining what information is actually necessary for a given transaction, rather than also 'nice to have'. Where multiple forms are used, don't ask for the same piece of information on multiple forms; aggregate data. Provide contracting options to suit circumstances rather than a 'one size must fit all' contracting process. It's no wonder JJENCO wants to divest of this business line. End of Rant.

A pleasure to receive positive feedback from a recent FADU Instructor Orientation Program provided to Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). "ADM’s North America Operations Training Center had the opportunity to acquire a flange assembly demonstration unit (FADU), an invaluable training aid, and Train the Trainer from John Jenco. ADM was able to train 5 of their colleagues on the use of the FADU. This training is essential in training other ADM colleagues on the proper technique of assembling bolted flange joints. Proper assembly not only ensures colleagues safety in pressure-boundary systems but will also assist in cost reduction by eliminating product contamination resulting from leaking flange issues." Thank You, ADM! We look forward to continuing to serve ADM in all their future requirements! #JJENCO #FADU

JJENCO is very pleased to announce the purchase of our Flange Assembly Demonstration Unit (FADU) by the Texas A&M University- Galveston Campus (TAMUG) for incorporation into the school's Mechanical Engineering program. The University is widely known and respected for its Engineering Programs and we are confident TAMUG will find it to be an invaluable adjunct to their related curriculum. In addition, JJENCO will be providing our FADU Instructor Orientation training to cognizant TAMUG staff upon delivery of the unit later this winter. #JJENCO #FADU #TAMUG #goaggies

Heading to the Headquarters of one of our newest customers, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), in Decatur, IL to conduct FADU? Instructor Orientation Training (Train-the-Trainer) on 18 December. With more than 41,000 employees, ADM operates around 250 manufacturing plants worldwide. We hope this is the beginning of a great relationship supporting ADM's global training objective of teaching leak-free bolted flange joint assembly for their process systems. #JJENCO #FADU #ADM #reliabilityengineering

TBT. NASA recognizing our Constant Seating Stress Gasket technology! We thought both gasket manufacturers and end-users would be standing in line to license our revolutionary gasket technology. "So, let me understand this. You want us to pay you for the right to produce a gasket that's idiot-proof to install, reusable, and can't leak in-service, and for which we would have to retool, that would ultimately make about 40% of our revenue from replacement gasket sales disappear? Is that right?" - A Major US Gasket Executive "WOW!! This is remarkable! Nice piece of engineering. Before we can buy it though, can you tell us who else is using it?" [Catch-22] - Said every potential end-user ever... #JJENCO #PerfectSealEOS #Gaskets #Reliabilityengineering #NASA
