CPCR Assistant Professor Brandon Weiss and colleagues just published a review examining the clinical utility and relevance of psychedelic therapy for personality disorders (PDs), including safety considerations, gaps and limitations, and recommendations for approaching psychedelic therapy within these more complex clinical populations. Both the DSM-5 categorical model and the newer DSM-AMPD dimensional model are used as frameworks for discussion. https://lnkd.in/evarcDAP

Frederick Barrett and Albert Garcia-Romeu, PhD on receiving an award to collaborate with certified peer recovery specialists and explore ways to improve how we study the use of psychedelic-assisted therapy to treat substance use disorders.

We are hiring a new postdoc! This postdoctoral fellowship is an excellent opportunity to gain experience (1) managing the operation of clinical drug trials focused on the treatment of PTSD, (2) learning to conduct Psilocybin Therapy, (3) producing new knowledge (data analysis, manuscript writing) about the utility of Psilocybin Therapy for treating PTSD, and (4) becoming skilled in grantsmanship. These training experiences are designed to set up our postdoctoral fellow for an independent career as a clinical scientist.? ?
