As our Lead Musculoskeletal Modeling and Simulation Scientist, Dhruv drives biomechanics research to improve human movement through physics-based modeling and optimization. Formerly a post-doctoral researcher at KU Leuven with a focus on cerebral palsy mechanics, Dhruv combines his expertise in kinesiology and engineering to advance human performance. New research uncovers the power of mindset in osteoarthritis management ???? Our VP of Science and Research, Dr. Melissa Boswell, alongside a team at Stanford University, has published a study in npj Digital Medicine to test a new digital mindset intervention for individuals with knee osteoarthritis. Their digital intervention, "Rethinking Osteoarthritis," gave participants the tools to rethink how they view exercise and manage osteoarthritis. Those who received the intervention demonstrated significant improvements in physical activity and psychological outcomes beyond those given traditional education or no intervention. This work showcases how principles of peak performance can be applied across the lifespan. From elite athletes to those managing chronic conditions, mindset plays a crucial role in unlocking human potential.
