JFK International Air Terminal, LLC (JFKIAT) is the operator of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport, one of the most active air terminals in the New York area, serving 34 international and domestic airlines with an annual passenger volume of more than 21 million travelers in 2017. Terminal 4 is the first existing airport terminal in the U.S. to receive LEED Gold certification by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) for operations and maintenance. The Terminal’s expansive Retail Lounge offers an unparalleled experience for travelers with a wide range of food and beverage and retail options, from chic to upscale and from convenience stores, to electronics, accessories and gifts. Terminal 4 was the first air terminal in North America operated by a private management company. JFKIAT is co-owned by Schiphol USA Inc., a U.S. affiliate of Schiphol Group.

Since launching in 2005, she has expanded operations to 14 of the busiest airports in the U.S. Corliss has also played a pivotal role in shaping key industry regulations, including the DOT’s Joint Venture Guidance, and mentors local high school students, helping them prepare for future careers.? ? Chef Grace Ramirez, owner of Tamalito, Inc., is a chef, activist, author, and TV personality who uses her platform to inspire change.   • Allison Dunn, owner of Hibiscus Brew Hospitality Group, is sharing a taste of the Caribbean with New York through her wellness-focused café. As an entrepreneur and author, she is dedicated to mentoring women and supporting her community. Her work has been recognized by Refinery29’s 99 Days of Design, and she has been honored by the Mayor and the City of New York. Allison advises women entrepreneurs entering the airport industry to know the landscape, learn from experienced peers, build strong partnerships, get certified, and think big from the start.? ? Petrushka Bazin Larsen, co-founder and co-owner of Sugar Hill Creamery, opened Harlem’s first family-owned handmade ice cream shop in 2017. Inspired by Caribbean and Midwestern traditions, Sugar Hill Creamery has grown to four locations, including one in Brooklyn, and is recognized as one of NYC’s top ice cream shops. Petrushka encourages women entrepreneurs to embrace the unique ecosystem airports create, saying, “I’ve been able to connect and grow deeper bonds with street side businesses I admire because of our shared equity stake in our airport businesses.”? ? ? Both Allison and Petrushka are shining examples of how staying inspired by their roots and prioritizing mentorship and community are the keys to professional success.
