ANA is renowned for its commitment to quality, sustainability and customer service - a perfect match for our guest-oriented, premium terminal. ANA joins JetBlue, Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Aer Lingus as future T6 airlines when the terminal opens to travelers in 2026. “ANA has been a long-term tenant at JFK Terminal 7, where we’ve seen firsthand their commitment to quality, operational safety and exceptional passenger care since our JMP team took over the management of Terminal 7 two years ago. What are your responsibilities as the Safety & Security Manager at Terminal 7? A. My role involves overseeing all safety and security protocols within Terminal 7 to create a secure environment that also supports smooth airport operations. Each day, I adapt to new situations and incidents as they arise, constantly evaluating and reinforcing safety protocols to ensure the terminal remains secure. Q. How do you handle the balance between a visible security presence and creating a welcoming environment for travelers? A. I find that approaching travelers and staff with a friendly and professional demeanor helps create a welcoming environment, even while maintaining a strong security presence. Safety and security remain our top priority, and a positive, approachable presence supports that mission effectively. Q. In what ways do you collaborate with stakeholders and partners to maintain safety and security standards? A. We regularly provide resources, training, and shared updates to ensure that all partners, including our local and federal agencies, stay aligned with the latest safety standards and emerging security threats. Q. What unique skills do you bring to your role as a veteran in the safety and security field? A. Leadership is one of the core strengths I bring to this role. Starting my career with the United States Marine Corps taught me resilience, discipline, and adaptability. JFK Millennium Partners has successfully concluded a nearly $2 billion bond issuance for the new JFK Terminal 6, including $1.85 billion in green bonds. The transaction is among the top three largest municipal bond financing projects at a U.S. airport since 2021. Initially marketed at $1.5 billion, the bonds attracted significant investor interest during pre-pricing, were upsized to $1.95 billion the day of pricing, and ultimately saw demand for nearly $11 billion of orders. This reaffirms investor confidence in the experience and caliber of our Vantage Group-led, JMP team delivering the highly-anticipated, 1.2 million square foot terminal, and the progress made to-date in both construction and airline leasing.? “This transaction is further proof of the market’s confidence in the value that Terminal 6 will bring to our airlines, our passengers, and our community - a boutique, state-of-the-art experience, with premium amenities, seamless connections to Terminal 5, and the critical involvement of diverse local businesses-- all built and operated sustainably,” said Steven Thody, CEO, JFK Millennium Partners.? Our JFK Millennium Partners and AECOM Hunt team recently installed our first two Otis Elevator Co. escalators connecting our future TSA checkpoint with our main Terminal 6 concourse.
