Membership and Events Coordinator Jewish Orthodox Women's Medical Association (JOWMA) Location: New York/North New Jersey Area (In-person events required) About the Role: The Events and Membership Coordinator will oversee in-person events, and enhance member engagement. This role requires STRONG organizational and interpersonal skills, with a passion for community health and wellness. Responsibilities: Membership Activity & Recruitment: - Serve as the primary contact for JOWMA members, addressing needs and concerns. - Develop strategies to enhance member engagement and satisfaction. - Recruit physicians and trainees to expand JOWMA’s membership. - Manage and moderate JOWMA’s WhatsApp chats. - Gather demographic information on JOWMA members. Event Management: - Plan, coordinate, and execute in-person events, including community health and physician support events. - Work with vendors, venues, and volunteers to ensure smooth event execution. - Oversee event logistics from registration to on-site management. Data Management: - Maintain accurate records of event attendance, member interactions, and program participation. - Analyze data to improve JOWMA’s services. Requirements: - Minimum of two years of experience in event planning, membership management, or a related role. - Strong organizational and multitasking skills. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Familiarity with the NY/NJ area and ability to travel for in-person events. - Proficiency in Google Office and data tracking. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Understanding of the Orthodox Jewish community. - Full-time position with occasional evening and weekend work.
