Thank you to Sojourner Family Peace Center in Milwaukee for providing this vital research and an opportunity to reinforce the high impact that providing housing resources in our community makes. This research report and panel discussion were powerful in identifying the key role of housing in this space. As we look to complete a new 56-unit property, JFS looks forward to continuing to provide more affordable and supportive housing to meet that need. www.jfsmilw.org
Last week, in partnership with Network Health WI, Sojourner had the honor of hosting Compassion in Action: Turning Awareness into Advocacy to learn more about the intersection of housing instability and intimate partner violence (IPV). The insights shared on the complex issue of homelessness and IPV was both enlightening and thought-provoking, sparking important conversations on how we can work together to create positive change in our community. At Sojourner, we are hopeful about continuing these crucial conversations and collaborating with those passionate about creating a lasting impact for domestic violence survivors. ? On Friday, 3/21/2025,?Dr. Erin Schubert will be holding an informational session on her report, "Homelessness, Housing Instability, and Intimate Partner Violence".
