Last week, JFSLA facilitated voting centers at our Senior and Multipurpose Centers, helping seniors easily participate in the election. A big thank you to KCAL News for highlighting this important initiative by JFSLA's Public Policy team!

On Friday, JFSLA and elected leaders celebrated the grand re-opening of the SOVA Valley Food Pantry with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. To address growing food insecurity in our community, the SOVA facility underwent significant capital improvements and upgrades. We thank Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel, former State Senator Bob Hertzberg, and former Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian for attending the event. In the last year, JFS SOVA provided 3 million pounds of nutritious groceries and fresh produce to 25,000 people who visited our pantries and distribution centers. The SOVA pantry alone sees up to 350 people every day.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the JFSLA's SOVA Community Food & Resource Program. For four decades, SOVA food pantries have served the Los Angeles community, providing vital resources and nutritious groceries.
