Jewels of Africa Foundations Inc.

Jewels of Africa Foundations Inc. is a San Francisco, California based non-profit organization helping underprivileged youths (middle & high school students) in West Africa with scholarships, educational enrichment programs and teaching aids. We’re currently operating in Nigeria & Ghana. We focus on enrichment and empowerment of underprivileged local youths in the rural regions. We currently operate in Nigeria and Ghana and continuing to expand our reach and enrichment programs for the under-served communities and African youths (aka ‘Jewels’) through education; equip them with skills, opportunities, tools, resources and abilities that will transform their lives and allow them to reach their full potential; help prime and position them to be future leaders and agents of change in a rapidly changing world; and help them stay relevant in the 21st century. The following are current major initiatives we’re engaging local youths in the underserved communities: 1) We provide Free After-School College Preparatory Program aimed at public school students for post-secondary college readiness education and career guidance & counseling. 2) We offer means tested College/University Scholarship Program for underprivileged & talented scholars (aka ‘jewels’). 3) We engage underprivileged youths in Summer Enrichment Programs by exposing them to life skills in STEM programs focusing on Entrepreneurship, Robotics, Engineering and Technology to position them for future career choices. 4) We donate books & teaching aids to local public schools to facilitate effective and functional teaching and learning for both Teachers and Students. 5) We offer Teachers enrichment/empowerment program in to facilitate effective teaching and greater impact in the classroom.
