Happy 4th of July! Let’s celebrate and commemorate the courageous heroes who risked their lives for the freedom we enjoy today. Twenty-five years ago, I was commissioned to create a patriotic design for a Beechcraft King Air. Starting at a very young age, my hobby and passion was designing liveries for airplanes, race cars, motorcycles and boats, and this assignment would be my first “real” design project. Needless to say, I was quite ecstatic. I knew nothing about aircraft exterior design and paint, but I managed to work through all of the challenges and unknowns. It would be many years until the next aircraft livery project came along. Today, I still have the same passion for every single design request that comes my way, and I am always honored to create patriotic designs for clients.
