Last week, Jerry employees around the globe came together for our second annual #hackathon, a highlight of our year! Their goal? To develop solutions that address real customer challenges and help advance Jerry’s mission to redefine and radically improve how people manage owning a car. The resulting ideas have the potential to improve overall customer experience and enable our teams to better serve customers, faster. Thanks to #AI, employees across the organization joined this year’s event regardless of their level of technical coding experience. Employee voting is underway to select the top projects for future app development, but one thing is certain: the combination of cross-team creativity and cutting-edge AI has inspired a wave of innovative, impactful ideas. #innovation #collaboration #startup

Car insurance can get complicated (and expensive) fast, and finding straightforward answers isn't always easy, as reported by The New York Times this weekend. Parents of newly licensed teen drivers know these challenges well and are getting creative with how they manage rising costs. Some are choosing not to disclose new drivers to insurers at all. The trend is troubling, as featured survey data from Jerry reveals that 17% of American drivers are likely to give false information to insurance companies in hopes of keeping premiums low. With rates up 50% over the last three years, drivers require a resource that they can trust will prioritize their best interests—one of the reasons Jerry was created. As a digital broker and neutral third party, our goal is simple: to offer transparent advice and assist drivers in finding the highest quality policies at the most affordable rates. ??? Car insurance premiums have eased recently, but with an active hurricane season in full swing, could that relief be short-lived? National car insurance inflation has been slowing for five straight months, but Jerry’s CFO Ed Chung, CFA points out that storms like Hurricanes Helene and Milton could change the outlook in certain high-risk states. Insurers facing heavy losses may be forced to raise premiums or exit certain markets, leading to localized rate hikes. For drivers in these regions, shopping for the most competitive rates will be key. More insights from Andrew Keshner at MarketWatch. #HurricaneSeason #RiskManagement #CarInsurance #InsuranceTrends?
There's slight relief on car insurance costs. Will hurricanes upend that trend?
