While in town for All-Star Weekend, our Founder had an opportunity to interview with Kristen Sze on ABC7 News Bay Area! Jeremy shared words of encouragement for organizations like our grantee partners, who may be experiencing challenges as 2025 continues to be a year of transitions and changes. His words help us stay grounded, reminding us to have hope in challenging times, to love those around us by showing up for one another in small ways, to continue building community, and take up our space unapologetically. ?? NBA’s All-Star Weekend was fun-filled and packed with activities for the Bay Area! Alongside our gracious hosts at Nex, Jeremy Lin Foundation invited some youth from our local community partners to join the fun. Nearly 200 youth and families from Harbor House Ministries, StreetCode Academy, Oakland Trybe (Andrew P.), East Bay Asian Youth Center (EBAYC), and Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) joined an exclusive Q&A with Jeremy and got to challenge him to a game of knock-out on the Nex Playground. We are so humbled by the youth we serve, who asked insightful questions not only about their physical health, but also their mental health, identity, learning to trust in the process and appreciating the journey, with poise and grace. The event was energizing, life-giving, and we enjoyed every second. Thanks to all who helped make it happen, and thanks especially to the youth, parents, and chaperones who continue to inspire us with their strength and resilience.

As we build relationships within the AAPI community and across communities of color, we recognize the importance of solidarity and creating safe spaces for the youth our partners serve. Celebrating one of our long-standing grantee partners for over a decade - Hope Horizon. Hope Horizon equips East Palo Alto and Belle Haven youth through their comprehensive programs. They foster spiritual growth, life skills development, and leadership training—helping build tangible hope and a brighter future.

Dear Friends: We celebrate our community partners that are empowering under-resourced youth and families in the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and other communities of color. They provide critical mentorship and mental health programs, affordable housing and food security support, and advocacy for the marginalized. Our Collective Impact Our Stronger Together Collaborative partners collectively serve over 5,800 youth, 15+ pan-AAPI ethnic groups, through $1.5+ million in grants over 3 years. Some highlights: *60% of grantees reported increased partnerships with other communities of color *3x in multiplier funding to grantees (additional $5M in referred funding) *95% of grantees felt the Collaborative helped them achieve greater solidarity Why This Matters *When we talk with community and youth leaders about how we can help, they talk about the compounding effects of poverty and racism, and how burnt out they are. They ask for multi-year funding, resources to build stronger organizations, and raising awareness for community needs *> 90% of AANHPI youth have experienced race based discrimination *Suicide is the leading cause of death for AAPI youth *Despite rising poverty levels among AAPI youth,? <1% of all money donated towards philanthropy goes towards AAPI causes We invite you to join us in the joy, hope, and impact of centering vulnerable youth and community nonprofits.
