Doug Quimby! There are no words to describe a man like this. What a bitter-sweet day as the Jenny Brock Realty team says goodbye (for now) to one of the absolute greats as he starts a new chapter with his wife back down in Florida. Doug has been an integral part of the team for nearly two years and has made each of our lives, and our client's lives, better. He is the guy that will give the shirt right off of his back for you. He looks after his clients like few I have ever seen. He looks for the good in people, he goes over and beyond in his transactions. He is the guy who is crawling the crawl spaces with his flashlight and looking in every corner of the attic while our clients are admiring the pantry and figuring out if their couch would fit in the living room. On a personal note he was always the first text to check on me when I was sick and took as many responsibilities off my plate as he could when things got hectic. From my friend's father, to a client, to a teammate, and now to dear, dear friend, this man has made my life and our team better in every way. Continuing in our week of celebrations is for these two clients! My phenomenal first time home buyers reached out to me after 1.5 years of living in RVA after relocating here from the midwest for a job. Knowing still very few people (that's not easy), to a new city (that's not easy), navigating new careers (that's not easy), in the middle of a housing shortage (that's not easy), and rising interest rates (that's not easy), having never purchased a home before (that's not easy), and essentially trusting a stranger to guide them through the process (that's not easy).
